Hello! 👋🏽

I’m Jieqiong (pronounced like jyeh-chyong, you can also call me JQ). I’m currently a master student in Human Centered Design and Engineering at University of Washington. I have a B.A. in Linguistics and B.E. in Industrial Design from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

I’m interested in LLM for social good 🔤, game interventions 👾, accessibility 🩼, and mental health ❤️‍🩹. I care about people—I care about what diverse populations (esp. those invisible in mainstream narratives) are experiencing in their life, their challenges, and their needs. I want to innovate solutions—one step further from uncovering the challenge, how can I tangibly tackle those challenges with creativity, technology, and empathy.

Apart from HCI research, I also do UX design, stage & multi-media arts, and photography!
